The Kaleidescape System comprises three primary components: Servers, Movie Players and Music Players. They can be combined in myriad ways to deliver movies and music seamlessly throughout your home.
Servers
Kaleidescape Servers are engineered to reliably store your movie and music collection. The Servers include Kaleidescape's proprietary storage technology to protect your entertainment investment.
As your collection grows you can add additional Kaleidescape Disk Cartridges to increase storage for your movies and music. Multiple Servers can be grouped in a single System to store thousands of movies and tens of thousands of albums as a single collection. Once your movies and music are stored on your Kaleidescape System, they can be enjoyed instantly in any Player-equipped room.
M500 Player
The Kaleidescape M500 Player is a powerful new platform with an amazing onscreen user interface and introduces the ability to play Blu-ray content on the Kaleidescape system.
The M500 plays Blu-ray movies back in high definition video with lossless audio. It includes support for 1080p video at 24 frames per second.
The M500 also allows for Blu-ray discs (as well as DVD and CD) to have a copy stored on your server.

M300 Player
The M300 Player takes the power of the M-Class architecture and puts it into a smaller footprint. It plays back Blu-ray in high definition video and lossless audio, including support for 1080p video at 24 frames per second.
The M300 can also play back the Blu-ray, DVD and CDs stored on your server.

It's an elegant addition to your entertainment room, and its
quiet operation won't distract you from your movies and music.
Compact and affordable, it's also the first to include a remote control,
so it's ready to entertain right out-of-the-box.
The base Mini System holds up to 75 DVDs or 825 CDs - the perfect "starter"
System. As your needs grow, so does your Kaleidescape System. Expand to more
rooms in your home by adding Players. Add more storage by adding Disk Cartridges
or Servers. Or, add a Mini System to increase both!

The Kaleidescape Music Player is a high-performance audio component
designed to import into and play back music from a Kaleidescape Server.
Each of the four independent zones simultaneously delivers high-quality
audio in both digital and analog stereo. The built-in combo drive
imports DVDs as well as CDs providing additional flexibility to import
Movies in Systems supporting both Movies and Music.

Movie Player 2
The Kaleidescape Movie Player 2 is a high-performance audio/video
component designed to import into and play back movies and music from a
Kaleidescape Server. The built-in combo drive imports CDs and DVDs and
supports direct-from-disc playback of a DVD without having to import it
into the Kaleidescape System.
You can play any DVD immediately, or play
borrowed and rented DVDs without importing them, eliminating the need
for a separate DVD player in your Movie Player 2-equipped rooms.

1080P Movie Player
The 1080p Player creates beautiful high definition output from your DVDs, providing a viewing experience that rivals Blu-ray.
The 1080p Player adapts its video processing to the type of content being viewed. For example, the onscreen display (OSD) with its sharp edges and high contrast is processed differently than movies, which contain motion and natural colors.
The 1080p Player also utilizes information from the Kaleidescape Movie Guide database to zoom letterboxed movies to fill a 16:9 display and to relocate subtitles for optimal viewing.

The 1080p Mini Player creates beautiful high definition output from your DVDs, providing a viewing experience that rivals Blu-ray.
The 1080p Mini Player’s small size and near-silent operation make it an ideal free-standing device sitting on a shelf in the viewing room, hidden behind a plasma display, concealed in a cabinet, or mounted recessed in a wall or behind a piece of furniture.
Designed to play back movies and music from a Kaleidescape Server, the 1080p Mini Player is perfect for locations where imports and direct playback of a DVD or CD are not required, such as a child’s room or a stateroom on a yacht.
